So long Messenger?
I recently (yeah, late in the game I suppose..) got very upset with Microsoft Network Messenger Service. Yesterday I tried to send a mediafire-link using previously mentioned service, when I was told:
“Meddelandet kunde kanske inte skickas på grund av att ett okänt fel uppstod:”
Translates to (for language-consistency) something like:
“The message could not be sent because of an unknown error:”
Turns out that Microsoft censors all URLs that contains “download.php”. Not ok.
In the end it all just adds up to the (as an Apple-product-user: still rather triumphantly) spitefulness towards all products and services developed by the corporate Microsoft-monster.
Just the other day I found myself rather amazed on, what that fucking X-box 360 had me go through, just to enjoy some single player, offline gaming. Ok, I might be extra testy and judgemental on the subject of interaction. But seriously? Has Microsoft developed anything worth the effort, the last ten years? Will they ever turn the ship around? Or will they just continue to live on the mere size of their corporation? (And of course the craziness of that CEO..)
Anyways, starting today, I will lay of that unusable “messenger service” for an indefinite future. If you’ll need me, I’ll be residing on Skype.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been looking into stories about black metal, Once upon a time in Norway. True norwegian black metal. Stuff like that. Fascinating stories about fascinating people in a fascinating culture..
Perhaps this is why I seem to have, pretty open heartedly, welcomed the following into my life and ipod.. And since no one seem to understand: I (yet again) felt the urge to write it of my chest (I’ve already tweeted it, facebooked it and told everyone I’ve met).
I was sitting, probably at home, browsing through my Google reader, when I came across a post from one of my favorite mp3-blogs. Gnaw their tongues is here described as “some kind of weird experimental black metal / noise hybrid thing, fucking EVIL music.”. A description which always gets my attention.
And this is truly evil music. I am not a person who is comfortable with phrases like: “good”, or: “evil”, but this music is evil. And it apparently poisons my mind.
It scares me, makes me feel uncomfortable and fascinates me.
Massive soundscapes, with what feels like, a constant layer of terrified (and terrifying!) screams and howls (at least it feels constant, or maybe just endless..). When there’s vocals, they’re distorted, harsh, in complete harmony with the rest of the horror unfolding. It may all sound like clichés (especially from me, king of exaggerations and temporal hypes), but I cannot stress the fact enough, that this is evil in it’s purest (audio)form. Horror. Darkness. The soundtrack to the end of the world, the musical theme of nightmares, it is fucking made out of serial killers! Quotes quoted from http://gnawtheirtongues.blogspot.com/: “The evilest sounding band in the history of music.”, “the aesthetic and general sense of utter misanthropy is abundantly clear”, “stab forth again and again until all the blood is spilt and total carnage is all that remains. Pure dread put to music.”.
Then, when it all comes to an end, I cannot think of anything else to do than to play it again… experience it again. And I feel sick. Awesome.
Hype of the week!
